Sport: Cameroon, designated scrutineer by FIFA during the Extraordinary General Assembly
Held by video conference to designate the countries to referee the 2030 and 2034 World Cups.
This December 11, a symbolic day marking the election of our administration at the head of Fecafoot, is also an important day for our country.
Indeed, Cameroon, through FECAFOOT, benefited from the trust of FIFA which designated us as one of the scrutinizing countries at the general assembly held by video conference today. We were thus able to be involved in the historic designation of the second African country after South Africa, in this case Morocco, which with Portugal and Spain will host the 2030 World Cup.
Any other historic designation is that of Saudi Arabia as the organizing country of the 2034 World Cup.
The Cameroon Football Federation, while congratulating the lucky organizing countries, is honored by the leading role that FIFA has granted to our country, a great football nation.
Together, let us continue to work, despite the immensity of the task, to restore our football to its full influence in Africa and around the world.
