The President of the Presidential Council Begins an Official Visit to Kampala
Kampala – His Excellency the President of the Presidential Council, Commander Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, arrived on Friday morning in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, for an official visit. He is accompanied by the Vice‑President of the Presidential Council, Commander Abdelaziz Adam Al‑Hilu, Mr. Al‑Taher Abou Bakr Hajar, member of the Presidential Council, Dr. Al‑Hadi Idriss Yahya, member of the Council and Governor of the Darfur region, Dr. Mabrouk Mubarak Salim, member of the Council and Governor of Eastern Sudan, as well as Ms. Khaldi Fathi, member of the Council.The delegation also includes the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Hassan Othman Al‑Taayshi, the Minister of Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim Al‑Mirghani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ammar Amoum, the Minister of Petroleum Al‑Basha Mohamed Al‑Basha Tabiq, the President of the National Authority for Humanitarian Access Ezzedine Al‑Safi, and the head of the leadership of the Sudan Founding Alliance, the Sultan General of Darfur Ahmed Ayoub Ali Dinar.
Upon his arrival at Entebbe Presidential Airport, His Excellency was received by the Director of External Intelligence, Ambassador Joseph Okello, along with several Ugandan government officials.
This visit by the President of the Presidential Council and the accompanying delegation aims to review bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and explore ways to strengthen them in various fields. It also seeks to brief the Ugandan leadership on developments in Sudan in light of the April 15 war and its humanitarian repercussions on the Sudanese population.
