Sudan, June 22, 2025 – During a solemn ceremony, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, Commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), delivered a speech on the occasion of the inauguration of new units formed to strengthen the RSF.

On this occasion, he paid tribute to the exceptional courage of Lieutenant Ahmed Darmoud, recently promoted to the rank of First Lieutenant, described as a true model of bravery.

A large crowd of soldiers, described by General Dagalo as "valiant heroes," attended the ceremony, marking a moment of strong cohesion and military pride.

"My speech is addressed to each of you, steadfast defenders of our nation. You are the backbone of our security," he stated with conviction.

In his subsequent speech, General Dagalo reassured neighboring countries, stating that there were currently no disputes with them. He clarified that the RSF, which controls the border triangle between Sudan, Egypt, Libya, and Chad, is actively working to secure this sensitive region, which, according to him, harbors hotbeds of terrorism, organized crime, and drug trafficking.

"Our differences with Egypt have been fueled by criminals. We have reviewed our position, and it is now essential to resolve these tensions through dialogue and negotiation," he added as a diplomatic opening.
