Chad is participating in the Annual General Meeting of the Senior African Transport Policy Program (SSATP), which is taking place in Cotonou, Benin, from March 24 to 27, 2025. This international event brings together key stakeholders from the transport and development sectors to discuss strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening transport infrastructure governance on the continent.

Chad, as a member state, is represented by a delegation from the Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation and National Meteorology, led by the Secretary General Mr. DIHOULNE LAURENT

The main objective of this meeting is to promote safe, accessible, and sustainable transport infrastructure while encouraging stronger cooperation among African countries. Discussions will focus on crucial topics such as road safety, reducing the environmental impact of transport, and regional integration through the modernization of transport corridors.

For Chad, this participation is an opportunity to present its commitments to transport infrastructure development and share its experiences on the specific challenges faced by landlocked countries. Furthermore, this meeting highlights the country's efforts to promote inclusive policies that meet the needs of its citizens while contributing to the progress of the entire region.

The meeting also includes technical workshops and dialogue sessions between government officials, experts, and international partners. These discussions aim to foster innovative solutions adapted to African realities.

With a vision for the future, Chad affirms its active role in transport development in Africa and reiterates its commitment to transparent and sustainable governance.
