Eritrean Militias Allied with Sudan Surrender in Ethiopia
Eritrean militias fighting alongside the Sudanese army have surrendered in Ethiopia.According to local sources, more than 200 fighters from these militias handed over their weapons to the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA).
Subsequently, the fighters turned themselves in to Ethiopian authorities in the Western Wollega region.
As reported by Ethiopian journalist Edout, these militias—opposed to the government in Asmara and previously aligned with the Islamic movement after disputes with “Derâ al-Niswan al-Kiklab” on the island—surrendered yesterday to the Ethiopian army, declaring their rebellion and renewed opposition to the Sudanese army.
