Chad–France: Are There Any Genuine Chadian Military Experts in Chad

We have just witnessed, with our own eyes, Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno and his mentor Macron signing a declaration of intent on military and defence cooperation today, October 13, 2026, as though bringing French soldiers back onto the streets and into the bars of the capital, N’Djamena, were a priority for the Chadian people.

Chad, France’s preserve since the First World War, then the Second World War, and ultimately France’s armed wing in the Sahel?

Here we are again, back with defence and cooperation agreements that will serve nothing but the Déby dynasty, once more, after 46 years of northern rule under the FROLINAT.

Let us pause for once and ask ourselves the one, true and only question that really matters:

Why don’t Chadian military experts propose acquiring the flagship French arms factory, the Manufacture d’Armes de Saint-Étienne?

And why not finance this acquisition with revenue from southern Chad’s oil or Tibesti’s gold, invested transparently in the security of Chad?

Such a project would create jobs for Chadian workers for a worthwhile cause!

Conversely, why doesn’t France relocate its old Saint-Étienne arms factory, which manufactured MAS 36 rifles, and rebuild it in the caves of the Tibesti or Ennedi mountains, or those of the Guéra region?

After all, Chad boasts one of the finest infantry forces in the Sahel!

We could manufacture drones, sniper rifles and AK-47 ammunition, tanks, protective helmets and gas masks!

The Model 1936 rifle, or more simply the MAS 36 (named after its manufacturer), is a French bolt-action rifle designed and manufactured by the Manufacture d’Armes de Saint-Étienne. It was adopted by the French Army to replace the Lebel Model 1886/93 rifle, as well as the Berthier-pattern weapons, including the 1907/15 M16 and 1892 M16 models. It is chambered for the 7.5 × 54 mm 1929C cartridge.

What a disgrace on both sides! France is selfish for withholding its expertise, while Chad’s army remains led by incompetent people who will never think along these lines.

They would rather have their Toyota fuel tanks filled to the brim so they can go joyriding across the desert after raping and killing local populations for lack of enemies to fight!

Let us not even talk about the air force. Dassault’s factories have lost their former glory; relocating them to China would be impossible!

Yet another defence agreement, serving France’s geostrategic interests in the Sahel!

Who still believes that the Chadian people’s interests matter?

Charles de Gaulle must be turning in his grave…

Poor us, the Chadian people! Elsewhere in Africa, factories producing chocolate, soft drinks, vehicles and pharmaceuticals are being established through relocation and investment.

In Chad, there is no technology transfer, yet we claim to be sovereign.

The country’s true sovereignty is being held hostage by incompetent people dressed in military uniforms and suits. In turn, they are being manipulated by French apprentices who are themselves no match for Africa’s worthy sons and daughters of the AES (Alliance of Sahel States).
