The Sudanese army commits massacres against civilians in Taiba, Sennar State

According to Rayno Agencies, a group from the Al-Baraa terrorist brigades, calling itself the Al-Lahwein jihadist brigades, in Sennar State, brutally and treacherously attacked defenseless elderly women and children in the village of Al-Shaqiq on Friday, April 4, 2025, abusing, massacring, and crucifying them under the pretext that they were incubators supporting Rapid Support, according to a report by the Tabyan news platform.

The village of Al-Shaqiq has been inhabited by several Arab tribes for over fifty years, and Yazid has close neighbors and a long-distance marriage with Taiba Al-Lahwein.
This incident resulted in several civilian casualties, mainly women and children with disabilities. The platform quoted a source from the Taiba al-Lahwein region as saying that the attack was planned in advance and organized during the intense meetings that the region attended during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, which were attended by "military intelligence services, young jihadist leaders from the al-Lahwein tribe and officials of the Popular Resistance in Sennar."

The source added that the attack on the village of Al-Shuqaiq, whose inhabitants are originally from western Sudan, the "Rizeigat," took place after Friday prayers. Individuals went to the village of Al-Shuqiq in armed forces uniforms, aboard military vehicles, and with others wearing masks, according to eyewitnesses from Taiba Al-Lahwin, who confirmed they were carrying a list of names of people, all from the village of Al-Shuqiq.

The source stated that relations between the residents of Taybat al-Lahwein and those of Al-Shaqiq are deep and based on strong social ties, and that no one can believe that social relations between neighbors will sink to this dangerous slope. He stressed that the situation on the ground is now chaotic and is expected to worsen in the coming hours, attributing responsibility for the incident to military intelligence, the Al-Baraa Brigades and the Popular Resistance.
