Sudan: Condemnation of the Assassination of Civilian Prominent Members of the Hawazma Tribe

Statement from the Sudan Founding Alliance

The Sudan Founding Alliance condemns in the strongest possible terms the targeted assassination of Rahma Dos, mayor of the Awlad Ghaboush branch, as well as several dignitaries and notables of the Hawazma tribe, perpetrated by army militias affiliated with the Islamic Movement. These victims, unarmed civilians, were cowardly executed in the town of Dabaibat.

This criminal act is not an isolated incident, but is part of a systematic campaign of racial persecution carried out by the army and Islamist militias. This strategy aims to weaken social cohesion, dismantle national unity, and plunge the country into chaos.

The Ta'sees coalition, which leads these militias, bears full political and criminal responsibility for this heinous crime. This incident confirms what we have always denounced: this corrupt group embodies apartheid in its most brutal form, seeking to divide Sudan along racial and tribal lines and transform this conflict into a devastating civil war.

We, the Sudan Founding Alliance, reaffirm our unwavering commitment to fighting this racist and destructive project, led by the remnants of the Islamic Movement and its repressive apparatus. We affirm that these crimes are statute-barred and that the day of retribution will inevitably come.

May God grant the martyrs eternal rest. We offer our sincere condolences to their families, clans, and all their loved ones.
