This ambitious project, with $750 million in financing, aims to strengthen intra-African trade while building strong ties with the African diaspora.
The Trade Hub includes several strategic infrastructure projects, including incubators for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), a regional office for the bank, and a 500-bed specialized hospital. These facilities are designed to stimulate innovation, support local entrepreneurs, and improve healthcare services in the region.
Nigeria, which has already received more than $49 billion in financing from Afreximbank, sees this project as an opportunity to consolidate its position as an economic powerhouse in Africa. This trade hub represents a significant step forward in efforts to promote regional economic integration and catalyze sustainable development on the continent.
