During a gathering including a wide diversity of political forces, struggle movements, civil administrations, youth and feminist components, intellectuals, notables and representatives of Sudanese society, the Charter of the Peace Government was signed at the end of the activities of the Founding Conference of Sudan.
Despite the silence of some media, the activities of the last day of signing of the charter led to its completion.
The charter has 30 basic paragraphs, emphasizing Sudan's unity, cessation of hostilities and government formation structures.
The main signatories include:
The Rapid Support Forces, represented by Lieutenant General Abdul Rahim Dagalo.
The Popular Movement, led by Abdul Aziz Al-Hilu.
The original Federal Party, led by Ibrahim Al-Mirghani.
The Revolutionary Front, led by Al-Tahir Hajar.
The United Civil Forces, led by Haroun Medikhir.
The Umma Party, led by Fadlallah Barma Nasser.
The document aims to build a new Sudan respecting ethnic, linguistic, regional, cultural, gender and economic diversity, to end historical injustices in the distribution of power and wealth, and to dissolve the Muslim Brotherhood organization.
The government plans to officially announce this no later than one month after signing the charter.
