Blake Lively vs Justin Baldoni: Scandal, Harassment, and Media Warfare in Hollywood

By: Jessyca – Charilogone Editorial Team – Hollywood USA

The filming of the highly anticipated It Ends With Us, adapted from Colleen Hoover’s novel, has been overshadowed by a major scandal involving its two leading stars. Blake Lively, who plays Lily Bloom, has filed a lawsuit against Justin Baldoni—her co-star and the film’s director—for sexual harassment. According to the allegations, Baldoni made inappropriate comments about Lively’s body, improvised intimate scenes not included in the script, and discussed explicit topics such as pornography during rehearsals.

The lawsuit, filed in December 2024, was followed by a counterclaim from Baldoni, who attempted to sue Lively for defamation in the amount of $400 million. That claim was dismissed by the judge, strengthening Lively’s position. On July 31, 2025, the two faced off in a tense deposition in New York, where Lively’s team accused Baldoni of orchestrating a media leak to sway public opinion.

The scandal escalated further when internal documents revealed a targeted smear campaign against Lively. Baldoni and his publicists allegedly considered using viral tactics similar to those associated with Hailey Bieber, known for her own online controversies. Taylor Swift, a close friend of Lively, was also mentioned as a potential indirect target, with plans to manipulate her fanbase to divert attention.

This scandal highlights the deep tensions within Hollywood—between public image, media power, and the pursuit of justice. The trial is scheduled for March 2026 in Manhattan and is expected to expose the behind-the-scenes dynamics of a system where fame can be as destructive as it is protective.
