United Arab Emirates Statement on Events in Yemen

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) issued an official statement condemning the accusations made in a communiqué from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding the events in Yemen. The UAE categorically rejects these accusations and denies any involvement in the actions attributed to the warring parties in Yemen.
The UAE reaffirmed its commitment to the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, recognizing that Saudi Arabia’s security is inseparable from that of the United Arab Emirates. They emphasized the importance of coordination between the two countries to ensure regional stability. The military operation carried out by the coalition in Al-Makla was intended to support legitimate Yemeni forces and not to attack Saudi Arabia.
The UAE denied supplying weapons or vehicles to the Houthis, stating that such accusations are unfounded. They expressed their support for the legitimate Yemeni government led by President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi and for the Arab coalition working to restore stability and security in Yemen. The statement calls for international cooperation to combat terrorism and extremist groups in Yemen, while respecting ongoing efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
