Resignation of the Vice Pres. of theTransformers: Between Freedom of Choice and Internal Tensions

    By: Charilogone Editorial Team

The political party Les Transformateurs has just recorded the resignation of one of its vice presidents, Dr. Sitack Yombatina, amid a backdrop of political pressure, internal disagreements, and a controversial approach to party leadership succession.

It is important to recall that every individual, in full awareness and freedom, has the right to make their own decisions. However, this resignation does not occur in a vacuum. After being prevented from traveling abroad by the regime’s police, Dr. Sitack reportedly received direct and indirect threats, as well as messages urging him to rebel against the party. Some voices allegedly encouraged him to challenge the appointment of Dr. Bedoumra Kordje, selected by Dr. Succès Masra to lead the party alongside the executive bureau.

In response to these tensions, Dr. Succès Masra made the cautious decision not to immediately appoint either of the two current vice presidents — Dr. Sitack Yombatina or Dr. Ndolembai Sadé Njesada — opting instead to entrust leadership to a neutral and unifying figure, distant from internal divisions.

A Legal and Strategic Angle Overlooked?

Another perspective emerges, both legal and pragmatic: by appointing Dr. Bedoumra Kordje to lead the party, Dr. Masra could have framed the appointment as provisional, pending the organization of a free and transparent congress. Such a congress would have allowed party members to elect one of the two acting vice presidents. However, it appears that no congress is currently planned — a void that fuels frustration and may explain Dr. Sitack’s resignation.

Official Statement from Dr. Sitack Yombatina:

“After six years of struggle and commitment to the principles and values of equality, justice, dignity, and truth, I have decided, on this day August 12, 2025, with full awareness, clarity, freedom, independence, and after a sober analysis of the work accomplished, to resign both from my position as Vice President of Les Transformateurs and from the party itself, in order to fully dedicate myself to my initial activities in research, teaching, and consultancy. I will continue to defend, wherever necessary, the cardinal principles and eternal values mentioned above. I will continue to stand for human rights and fundamental freedoms. May God bless those who supported me through these long moments of joy and tears. Shalom!”

    A Revealing Departure

Although presented as a free choice, this resignation seems to reflect a deep disagreement with the party’s current strategic direction. It marks a turning point in the internal dynamics of Les Transformateurs and raises questions about future political balance and the transparency of decision-making processes.
