On May 14, 2025, the town of Al-Hamadi, located in South Kordofan State, was the scene of a horrific massacre perpetrated against the Hawazma tribe by Sudanese army forces and allied militias. This war crime, characterized by systematic killings and overt ethnic cleansing, took place under political cover and in the complicit silence of the authorities.
Amidst media censorship aimed at concealing these atrocities, dozens of victims, mostly women and children, were killed. Among them:
1- Hajja Hawa Suleiman Daoud
2- Yasmine Hamed Balal
3- Rabha Hamid Balal (disabled person)
4- Muhand Ibrahim Al-Toum
5- Adam Abdullah Agbash (child)
6- Moussa Yaqoub
7- Ammar Ahmed Najm Al-Din (child)
8- Moatasem Ibrahim Manzul
Faced with these unspeakable acts, the Al-Hawazma Youth Rally declares and demands the following measures:
Recognition of the Al-Hamadi massacre as a war crime and genocide, with accountability for the military leaders and militias involved.
Immediate establishment of an independent international commission of inquiry to establish responsibilities and ensure justice for the victims.
Warning against the use of social stereotypes to justify these crimes, affirming that silence in the face of massacres is unacceptable.
We pay tribute to the innocent martyrs and firmly denounce these acts of barbarism. The quest for truth and justice will never cease.
