Chad's oil sector faces new challenges

To address the concerns of industry stakeholders, the Prime Minister and Head of Government, Ambassador Allah Maye Halina, granted an audience on Monday, June 2, 2025, to a delegation from the Petroleum Professionals Association (GPPT), led by its President, Serigne Momar Dieye, also Managing Director of STAR OIL.
During this meeting, discussions focused primarily on the challenges facing the national oil industry. Keen to improve the situation, the Prime Minister encouraged the GPPT to strengthen its presence throughout the country and to collaborate closely with the Ministry of Petroleum to better meet consumer expectations. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Mines, Petroleum and Geology, Ndolénodji Alixe Naïmbaye, and members of the Prime Minister's office. This initiative underscores the government's commitment to the stability and efficiency of the oil sector, which plays a strategic role in the national economy.
Monitoring of the measures envisaged should make it possible to provide solutions adapted to current challenges, thus guaranteeing efficient supply and optimized management of the oil market in Chad.
