The meetings focused extensively on prospects for enhancing Russian‑Ethiopian cooperation across multiple sectors, with particular emphasis on deepening trade, economic, and humanitarian ties. Agreements were reached to support business communities in both countries in establishing and expanding direct partnerships.
This initiative aims to launch joint projects in energy, transport infrastructure, digital technology, telecommunications, information security, and agricultural production.

The discussions also addressed preparations for the third Russia–Africa Summit, scheduled to take place in Russia in October 2026. Moscow and Addis Ababa reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening coordination within the United Nations and other multilateral forums.
Special attention was given to exchanging views on resolving ongoing conflicts and stabilizing the broader situation in the Horn of Africa.

The talks, held in an atmosphere of mutual trust and understanding, reaffirmed the enduring strategic partnership between Moscow and Addis Ababa, further consolidating the historic ties that unite the two nations.
