When Justice Becomes an Accomplice: The Political Trial Tearing Chad Apart

By Joe Le Mutant – Charilogone Editorial Team

The case currently shaking Chad is not a matter of law. It is political, brutal, and exposes a judiciary system under command. The file is empty: no material evidence, no established link between the massacre and the accused alleged mastermind. Yet, incarceration has taken place. And the silence from institutions is deafening.

What is most shocking is the role of the court. Judges, supposedly embodying intelligence and legal rigor, have become obedient instruments of an authoritarian regime. Unlike dictators who repress openly, these magistrates operate behind a mask, claiming to serve justice while dividing the nation.

History will remember their complicity. By siding with manipulated Fulani leaders, known for their violence against farmers, they have deepened a dangerous divide. The northern region of Chad is already paying the price. And tomorrow? Will we see a Fulani general, like Baba Laddé, arrested for the massacres of farmers? Or will justice continue to turn a blind eye?

This trial is not just a news item. It is a mirror held up to a nation seeking truth. And that mirror reflects a grim image: a justice system that has betrayed its mission.
