Unity and Resistance: India in the Face of Pakistan's Provocations
By: Charilogone Editorial StaffJammu/Srinagar, May 7 – Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi, contacted Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hameed Karra to inquire about the worrying situation on the India-Pakistan border. He urged party members to provide all possible assistance to civilians affected by Pakistani strikes and to fully support the armed forces and the administration.
Support for the Armed Forces and Condemnation of the Attacks
The JKPCC praised the courage of the Indian armed forces for their action against terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK). The party leadership affirmed that the entire country stands with the forces in their fight against terrorism. President Tariq Hameed Karra, accompanied by leaders such as Shri Tara Chand, Raman Bhalla, Ravinder Sharma, and several other prominent figures, expressed his dismay at the heavy loss of life and injuries caused by Pakistani strikes on civilian areas and religious sites in the districts of Poonch, Rajouri, Kupwara, and Baramula. He strongly condemned these acts, highlighting their blatant violation of international norms and calling on the international community to take action against Pakistan.
Party Mobilization to Help Affected Populations
The PCC has asked its members along the border areas to support the affected populations and the armed forces, including by mobilizing volunteers ready to provide blood donations and humanitarian assistance. Several senior party officials have visited the affected areas to assess the situation and offer assistance to the injured.
A Strong Message Against Terrorism
JKPCC leaders, including Ch Lal Singh, Mula Ram, Th Balwan Singh, Yogesh Sawhney, Jahangir Mir, Ved Mahajan, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, Yash Pal Kundal, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shabir Ahmed Khan, Rajinder Singh Kaka, Bhushan Dogra, and many others, reiterated that terrorism will no longer be tolerated and called for a strong and determined response against terrorist attacks.
The party assured that the entire nation stands in solidarity with the forces and the government at this critical time.
